Northern California native Matt Morgan became passionate about web design and online marketing at an early age and then decided to take a more hands-on approach to increase his knowledge of the technologically-advancing industry. In 1997, Matt launched his first graphic design and website company before beginning his higher education at Shasta College and then continuing on at CSU Sacramento and Heald College. This was just the beginning of his distinguished career in the field of web development and marketing.

Matt is a proud graduate of the 2014-2015 Leadership Redding class. The selective program is designed to inspire growth personally and professionally throughout a series of sessions and a workshop, each focused on providing the participants with deep knowledge about different areas of their community.

Overview: Leadership Redding began in 1985 with the first class inaugurated in 1986. Today Leadership Redding is a program of the Shasta Regional Community Foundation.
The Rotary Club of Redding
The Redding Rotary, chartered in 1924, is a service club with a long history of serving the community and world through local and international projects. Rotarians serve on various committees to achieve goals and fellowship in our society.
Downtown Redding Business Association
Several regional organizations have benefited from Matt’s dedication to the worlds of internet and technology as well. Sitting on the board of the Downtown Redding Business Association as Secretary, Matt was able to communicate and work closely with businesses in the Business Improvement District to promote growth in the area and increase profits downtown. Previously owning a downtown Redding business himself, Matt became very familiar with the advantages of being a part of the DRBA and the importance of cultivating successful local businesses.
Leads Club, Inc.
Matt also spent time involved in Leads Club, Inc., and as the Chapter Consultant for Shasta and Tehama Counties some of his duties included visiting each chapter assigned to him once a month, assisting in bi-annual leadership trainings and conferences, attempting to open new chapters and guiding existing chapters in acquiring progressive results for their members. The Leads Club benefits each type of company involved by generating leads within a network of members that can offer personal referrals as well as supports and encourages leadership roles in a professional environment.
Honors and Awards
20 Under 40 Emerging Leader
Matt was honored as one of Redding, CA’s emerging leaders in the “20 Under 40 Emerging Leaders” program, which is put on annually by the Record Searchlight with the help of Simpson University and U.S. Bank. It distinguishes 20 people all under the age of 40 from the local area who have shown themselves to be actively involved in bettering the community through business and philanthropic relationships.
Among his achievements, Matt was acknowledged for his participation in 2015’s Leadership Redding class, volunteering for the Redding Police Department, being an active member of the Redding Dirt Riders (which helps with Shasta County Search & Rescue) as well as donating approximately 300 hours of web development and marketing support to Redding businesses and organizations.
Father and Enduro Motocross Enthusiast
Outside of his professional life, Matt is a devoted father who remains active in the community and in all the recreation Northern California has to offer. In fact, at just three years old Matt began riding motorcycles and progressed in the sport enough to show his skills up and down the West Coast as he competitively raced motocross throughout the ‘90s, and in 2003, Matt competed at the X-Games qualifiers for Freestyle Motocross. Though the adventurous side of life has slowed down a bit due to career goals and a growing family, Matt continues to stay involved with his favorite pastime as a member, volunteer and enduro racer with the Redding Dirt Riders, a dirt bike rider organization founded in the early ‘70s.
